Position Summary:

As the Produce Manager at Seed to Table, you’ll take ownership of the produce department—leading the team, maintaining top-quality produce displays, and ensuring our customers always leave with the freshest items. You’ll play a key role in sourcing, inventory management, and customer engagement in a lively, high-energy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead with Excellence: Manage and inspire a team of produce associates to deliver top-notch service and performance.
  • Operations & Inventory: Oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory to ensure a steady supply of fresh, high-quality produce.
  • Creative Merchandising: Design visually stunning produce displays that draw in customers and showcase seasonal freshness.
  • Customer Engagement: Provide expert advice to customers on produce selection and ensure a welcoming shopping experience.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures to guarantee that all produce meets our high standards.
  • Collaborate with Suppliers: Build relationships with local farmers and suppliers to source the best products while supporting sustainability.
  • Drive Sales: Plan and execute promotions, highlighting seasonal and local produce to create excitement and boost sales.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for Produce: Enthusiasm for fresh, high-quality produce and sustainability.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managing teams in fast-paced retail or grocery environments.
  • Customer-Focused: Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming and engaging shopping experience.
  • Creative Vision: Strong ability to create visually appealing displays that drive customer interest and sales.
  • Dependable & Organized: Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Bilingual Skills: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Lifting Ability: Capable of lifting and moving up to 80 lbs.
  • Manual Dexterity: Skilled in fine motor tasks and produce handling.
  • Visual and Auditory Skills: Sharp visual acuity and effective hearing.
  • Mobility: Comfortable with bending, stooping, and adapting to varied environments.
  • Temperature Tolerance: Able to work in different temperatures and handle a variety of fresh ingredients.
  • Climbing Confidence: Confident using step-stools or ladders.
  • Balance and Stability: Maintain stability and balance in fast-paced settings.
